Preparing for Breastfeeding & Postnatal Lactation Support

Breastfeeding is a learned skill for you and your new baby and a little bit of help goes a long way. Whether you are preparing for the birth of your baby, experiencing a breastfeeding challenge or navigating a return to work while continuing to breastfeed, our experienced International Board Certified Lactation Consultants will support you with evidence-based knowledge and advice, to help you achieve your breastfeeding goals.

Preparing for Breastfeeding Call

Delivered by our International Board Certified Lactation Consultants, this call is designed to prepare expectant parents for breastfeeding their baby in the early weeks and months.

Before your baby arrives

Our 30 minute Preparing for Breastfeeding call, is designed to provide you with all the information you need to prepare for a successful breastfeeding journey - no matter what your breastfeeding goals are.

You will learn about * how your breasts make milk * a step-by-step guide to attachment * your baby's feeding cues and how to know if they are getting enough milk * what to expect in the first few weeks * how to manage common problems * expressing * breastfeeding twins and more!

Managing common Challenges

Our 45 minute Breastfeeding Support video call, is designed to help you navigate common breastfeeding challenges or feeding milestones, including supporting your return to work while continuing to breastfeed. 

Our consultants can assist with * positioning and attachment * sore or cracked nipples * supply concerns * fussy baby * slow weight gain * blocked ducts and mastitis * tongue tie and lip tie * mixed feeding * weaning * expressing and more.

Our goal is to help you identify your little one's unique cues and behaviours, and support you with evidence-based advice to overcome common challenges or barriers to reaching your breastfeeding goals. Our consultants have been supporting families for over a decade, with gentle and compassionate care.

Brooke 

Brooke is a Registered Nurse, Midwife, Child & Family Health Nurse and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. She has more than 15 years of experience supporting women and families across all facets of childbirth and early parenting. Her approach is gentle, child-focused care; helping parents to de-code and understand their baby's cues, behaviour and needs, whilst providing the practical tools needed to overcome any breastfeeding or sleep challenge.

Marcia

Marcia is a Registered Nurse, Child & Family Health Nurse and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant with over 11 years experience specialising in breastfeeding, sleep and settling and behaviour concerns. She has worked across a number of settings, including child health clinics and within the Paediatric Unit in a major regional hospital. Marcia considers it an honour and privilege to support and partner with parents as they navigate parenthood.
